Tractor trailer rollover sparks fire on Hwy. 403 ramp in Ancaster

Hamilton firefighters are on scene after a tractor trailer rollover sparked a grass fire near Highway 403 in Ancaster.
Emergency crews were called to the collision shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Video from the scene shows at least four people carrying fire extinguishers running towards the fire. Two bystanders can be seen trying to contain the blaze before fire crews arrive on scene.
Ontario Provincial Police say the truck rolled on the Highway 403 westbound ramp from Lincoln Alexander Parkway (Linc).
OPP Cst. Lauren Ball says the truck was carrying automotive parts and will need to be unloaded before it can be up righted.
She says only minor injuries were reported.
Hamilton police are assisting OPP with ramp closures in the area of Highway 403 and the Linc. Ball says the roadway will likely be closed for several hours.
Police are asking motorists to avoid the area as major delays are expected.
