Tractor rollover kills local farmer

A Niagara farm worker was killed late Monday afternoon when the tractor he was riding on flipped over in a ditch.

The accident happened around 4:30, next to a vineyard on Third Street Louth in St. Catharines.

The man, believed to be 59 years old and from a nearby farm, was crushed by the tractor.

He suffered severe trauma to his abdominal area.

No word on what caused the tractor to veer into the ditch.
