Toronto’s population passes Chicago
Toronto says it’s now the fourth-largest city in North America by population.
Statistics Canada’s latest figures put Toronto’s population at an estimated 2,791,140. That moves Toronto ahead of Chicago by about 84,000. Mexico City remains the largest city on the continent with 8.8-million, followed by New York City at 8.2-million and Los Angeles at 3.8-million.
