A woman accused of killing three people has been found mentally unfit to stand trial.

Sabrina Kauldhar is alleged to have gone on a killing spree in October 2024 – murdering her 66-year-old roommate in Toronto before travelling to Hamilton and Niagara, where she is believed to have killed two other people.

She is also facing charges related to the murders of 47-year-old Lance Cunningham of Niagara, and 77-year-old Mario Bilich of Hamilton.

Investigators believe the attacks on Cunningham and Bilich were random.

On Thursday, Ontario Court Justice Joseph Callaghan ruled that Kauldhar is mentally unfit to stand trial and will be forced into psychiatric treatment.

The decision temporarily puts the criminal proceedings on hold in the hopes that she becomes fit to stand trial once she receives antipsychotic medication.

Her case will be back in court in April.
