Toronto police locate stolen van, baby boy found safe inside

Toronto police say a baby who was inside a minivan that was stolen on Sunday has been found safe.

Police were called after a 2005 Toyota Sienna minivan was stolen from an address near Islington Ave. and Satterly Rd. on Sunday.

The two-month-old baby boy was inside the van when it was taken.

Officers began searching the area and issued a plea on Twitter for anyone who came across the van to “not follow” but call 9-1-1.

The force later tweeted saying the baby was found “safe and sound.”

The investigation is now ongoing.
