Updated After a wild shootout at a block party last night that’s generating headlines across the country, Toronto’s police chief isn’t pulling any punches.

Bill Blair calls the deadly shooting the worst incident of gun violence his city has ever experienced. 25 people were shot – two fatally – at a neighbourhood street party in Scarborough. People living in the Morningside and Lawrence area tell CHCH News it’s a close knit community where people take care of each other; a neighbourhood where last night friends and strangers came together for a BBQ, never expecting 25 of their own would be shot in a shocking act of violence.
