All seven Canadian NHL teams play their season openers tonight. This includes the Toronto Maple Leafs who are facing the Montreal Canadiens.

The league’s regular season got underway last night with three games, including one in Pittsburgh where north Vancouver’s prize rookie Connor Bedard of the Chicago Blackhawks faced his childhood idol and fellow Canadian Sidney Crosby.
