Toronto health-care worker given Canada’s first COVID-19 vaccine

Five front-line health care workers in Toronto were the first people in Canada to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
The very first shot went to personal support worker Anita Quidangen, who works in a long-term care home.

Federal Procurement Minister Anita Anand is expecting about 30,000 more doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to arrive this week and another shipment next week.
In Quebec City, Gisele Levesque, who lives in a long-term care home, became the first Quebecer to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.
Premier Francois Legault says the vaccination shows there is light at end of the tunnel.
