Tokyo Games still on track despite concerns over COVID-19

The Tokyo Games are still on track, despite concerns over increasing COVID-19 numbers.

There’s less than three months to go to the Games. Cases are still rising in Japan and a state of emergency has been extended in Tokyo and other areas of the country.

Still, a spokesperson with the International Olympics Committee says they’re confident they can host the games and win over public support.

They say athletes and their close contacts will be tested daily for the virus.
