Next month will mark 2 years since Tim Bosma’s disappearance and murder. In the wake of his death his widow, Sharlene created the charity “Tim’s Tribute” to honour other victims and support their families.
The charity is now a registered charity and “Tim’s Tribute” will be able to provide financial and mental health support for families of homicide. Sharlene has been working to set up the charity with other victims like her and says it was connecting with those other families that helped her with her grief. “Nobody gets it like someone else who has been through it.”
On May 6th, 2013 her husband Tim went out for a test drive in his truck with 2 men and never came back. “It can be so devastating and leave you so lost I felt like there’s got to be something better something more.” So she started “Tim’s Tribute”a charity to support families of homicide. People like Donna Dixon, whose son Billy Mason disappeared and was murdered in 2006. “I don’t know where I would be if I didn’t have the support network that has been offered and that is out there.” And their hope through Tim’s Tribute is to offer others that same level of support.
