The Hamilton Tiger-Cats cleaned out their lockers today and are heading home for the offseason. After sitting through end of season meetings, players and coaches didn’t mince words when speaking to the media, they are angry that their year is over early.

Two days after a last second loss in the eastern semi-finals, Ticats head coach Kent Austin says he plans to make this team better in the offseason.

“There won’t be a rock that won’t be turned over, we may go down a bunny trail that’s not fruitful but we’ll go down a bunch of them that’s for sure.”

Quarterback Zach Collaros threw an interception late in the fourth, that led to the game winning field goal. He’s looked over the game tape a lot since Sunday.

“Frustrating to watch, disappointing. Obviously I can only critique myself, but I didn’t do enough for us to win.”

Ticats players and coaches we spoke to refused to use it as an excuse, but injuries played a major factor in how their season unfolded, including Sunday’s loss to Edmonton.
