TIFF underway in Toronto

As Sean Leathong reports, the Toronto International film festival is up and running with the premiere showing of “The Fifth Estate.” The film explores the rise and fall of Wikileaks and its founder Julian Assange.

The film, based on the book by former Wikileaks spokesman Daniel Domscheitberg, follows the events that led to the release of the secret documents in 2010. Since then, Assange has been held up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London, England.

“The Fifth Estate” hits theatres October 18th.
