TIFF announces films for 40th edition

TIFF, the Toronto International Film Festival marks 40 years this September, and they have announced the movies they will be presenting.

The opening night gala will feature Canadian director Jean-Marc Vallée’s Demolition, starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Other galas include The Program, which follows the controversial career of Lance Armstrong. It stars Ben Foster and Chris O’Dell.

The Martian follows Matt Damon on a mission to Mars and his fight for survival after being stranded on the red planet. Freeheld follows a true love story and a fight for justice. It stars Julianne Moore and Ellen Page.

TIFF runs from the 10th to the 20th of September.
