Ticats mini-camp

The sounds of football could be heard throughout Tim Horton’s field, which hosted the Ticat’s first spring mini camp in the stadium’s existence and even though it didn’t feel like spring for many Ticat coaches, they’ve never seen some of these players in person, many were just signed to the team.
Ricky Osei-Kusi is one of those players. While he just graduated from Western University, the defensive lineman knows his education has just begun.
“Get to know the vets, get to know everybody around, the staff and things of that nature and definitely progress so when I get to training camp I have the best shot possible.”
Newly signed offensive guard Brandon Washington spent two years playing with the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League and is looking to iron out the wrinkles in his game.
“Cause that’s probably the reason why I’m out of the National Football League, so I’m just trying to work on the small things and in the end of the day it’s the game of football.”
Geoff Tisdale is a CFL vet and former Ticat. The newly-thirty year old defensive back is eager to prove that he still has some game left in him.
“Since 2008 my first year, I’ve been treating my body as if I was 30 years old so when I get there it’ll hold up for me and I feel great.”
Three players out of many who’s aspirations to play pro football will be put to the test over the next three days.
