Ticats Gable on the shelf again

Well, C.J. Gable’s return to the Tiger-Cats lineup was short-lived. One and done, one play and over and out for the second year running back. And now his return to the team for the rest of the season is in doubt.

The Tiger-Cats announced today on Twitter that Gable will be placed on the 6 game injured list with a shoulder injury suffered on the first play from scrimmage in Saturday’s win over the Eskimos. Gable had just returned to the Ticats lineup after missing 4 games with a foot injury.

Mossis Madu who missed last game with an undisclosed injury will be back on the field next game in Winnipeg: “Coming in, I knew it was C.J.’s role from the get-go and I was here to push him. To be a guy they can count on in case something like this would happen. So, it’s not difficult at all. They’ve utilized my talents really good. So day one like today. I can see the running plays they put in so I’m all smiles because they’re all things that I’m good at. So they know what to use me for.”
