Ticats begin training camp

While labour troubles hang like a dark cloud over the Canadian Football League, the sun was shining over McMaster University this morning as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats held the first practice of their 2014 training camp.
It was a beautiful day for football, and after six long months, the Ticats returned to Ron Joyce Stadium where dozens of adoring fans welcomed them.
For many, it was their first opportunity to see new starting quarterback Zach Collaros in action — as well as a few other off-season acquisitions who came out looking like they were already in mid-season form.
Of course, in the back of everyone’s mind is the possibility of a player’s strike at some point this week, but the players really tried their best to keep football at the forefront.
