Three overnight shootings in Hamilton’s East End

Hamilton Police are investigating three shooting incidents that happened overnight in the city’s East End.
The first happened around 11:30 p.m. when a 19-year-old was shot on Roxborough Avenue near Reid avenue while sitting in his car outside him home. Police say he was able to drive away a few blocks before calling 9-1-1. He was transported to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police believe that shooting was targeted.
The second incident happened just before 1:00 a.m. in the area of Third Road East and Ridge Road. Reports are that multiple shots were fired in the area. Police found numerous shell casings on the roadway. Nobody was injured as a result of this shooting.
Finally, the third shooting happened shortly after 4:30 a.m. in the area of Queenston Road and Reid Avenue. Several rounds were fired toward a house, some of which struck the residence. Occupants were home at the time but no injuries were reported. Police say this was a targeted incident.
Police say they are continuing to investigate each incident throughout the day. They say they will take into consideration the proximity and time frame of the shootings, but each is being investigated as a separate case at this time.
