Hamilton police have arrested three teenagers after ten local businesses were robbed at gunpoint.

Police say the robberies happened between Dec. 12 and 15.

In all of the incidents, two males entered the business and confronted the store employee. They demanded cash from the staff member while brandishing a firearm. No one was hurt during any of the robberies.

On Dec. 15, police were investigating two consecutive robberies in downtown Hamilton when they noticed the suspect vehicle pull into a gas station parking lot.

Two people got out of the car and walked toward the door of the business.

Police say the suspects retreated to their vehicle when they spotted the cops and fled the area at a high rate of speed. The vehicle, which was previously reported stolen, was located abandoned nearby and the suspects were arrested. Police also seized a replica firearm.

Tyrell Downey, 19, and Cody Atkinson, 19, are charged with robbery with a firearm and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Officers arrested a third person who they say was involved in an earlier robbery. The 16-year-old boy is facing similar charges.
