Thousands without power after storms in southern Ontario

Thousands of customers across southern Ontario lost power during thunder storms last night.
Hydro One’s outage map showed nearly 40,000 customers without power as of midnight.

Environment Canada issued severe thunderstorm watches for a large part of Southern Ontario, stretching from Brantford to Ottawa and Cornwall to Prescott.
The storm brought torrential rain, damaging wind gusts and hail.
