Police say a man made off with a backpack full of cash after a bank robbery in Hamilton.

It happened shortly before 2 p.m. on Saturday in the area of Barton St. East and Kenilworth Ave. North.

Police say a man entered a financial institution in the area and jumped the counter.

He then filled a backpack with cash before fleeing the bank.

Police say no weapons were seen and no injuries were reported.
