The right to fly to flag

The Heritage Minister thinks every Canadian should have the right to fly the Canadian flag if they want to.

James Moore is supporting a private member’s bill that would protect Canadians from condominium corporation boards of directors and others who might balk at allowing the flag to be displayed.

The only exemptions would be if someone is trying to use the flag improperly or desecrate it.

Liberal leader Bob Rae says the Conservatives are obsessing about symbols when the focus should be on the state of the economy and other issues.
