Toronto Police aren’t commenting on a report that they are investigating attempts by associates of Rob Ford to obtain an alleged video that allegedly shows the mayor using crack cocaine.

Back in May, Toronto Star staffers said they watched a video that shows Ford inhaling from a crack pipe. The mayor has maintained no such video exists.

Now the Star reports that two members of Ford’s entourage were trying to locate the video after the scandal broke. The newspaper quotes a witness saying that a driver and security guard for the mayor named Alexander Lisi visited drug dealers to ask about the whereabouts of those who made the alleged video.

Lisi’s lawyer has confirmed his client is involved in a police investigation, but would not give specifics. The Star also says the mayor’s Logistics Director, David Price, made phone calls to ask where the video can be found.
