Terra greenhouse Farmer’s Market keeps shoppers cozy

It’s the case of the market that came in from the cold.

At Terra greenhouse in Milton, the crowds are shedding their winter blahs and taking full advantage of over 50 vendors peddling fresh produce and treats.

It’s way to bundle up the whole family and escape the house with more to do than just shop.

There are also art activities for the kids.

One of the ideas here is to promote healthy eating in the wintertime, but it doesn’t take long to find some tasty desserts or a glass of fine wine.

Terra spokesperson Blair Lawrence says they’re more than happy to host the winter market for the third straight year.

“Well there so many great places in the summer for farmers to go and sell all their products, and and we’re in Canada so its kind of a great excuse to provide them with somewhere warm to sell their products.”

As the snow blows outside, guests are treated to spicy hot sauce and more than comfortable conditions.

Many guests Saturday quickly ditched their coats in the cozy greenhouse.

The Winter Market at Terra in Milton runs Saturday’s from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until March 21-st.
