The temporary rules governing HOV lanes during the Pan Am and Parapan Am games have ended.

Drivers will only need one other person in the vehicle in order to use the HOV lanes.

The temporary lanes set up along the QEW from Highway 427 to Trafalgar Rd as well as stretches of the 401 and 427 are also no longer HOV lanes.

Contractors have started removing the regulatory signs and diamond pavement markings from the temporary lanes.

The Ministry of Transportation says it will take a few nights to complete the changes.
