Teen struck by a projectile

On March 18, 2016, around 11:00pm it was reported to the Hamilton Police that a 17 year old man was struck by a projectile fired from a pellet or BB gun earlier in the evening.

Police spoke with the victim who said that while walking alone in the area of Tisdale Street North and King William Street around 7:00pm, he heard someone call out to get his attention. The victim turned and observed what he described as three individuals on bicycles.

One of the suspects produced a black pellet (BB) gun, point it in his direction and then fire a pellet (BB) which struck him in the eye.

The suspects fled from the area. The victim was unable to provide any further descriptions and it is unknown if the individuals are male or female.

The suspects are described as being 3 individuals on bicycles and wearing black coloured clothing.

The victim sustained minor injuries and is expected to recover.
