A 16-year old girl from Kitchener has been killed in Cancun, mexico.

According to a family friend, the girl’s name is Camila Lopez. Reports indicated that, over the weekend, she was on a boat when she was hit by a wave-runner. The federal government says “Canadian officials are in contact with local authorities and are providing consular assistance to the family.”
