Teen airlifted to trauma centre after speeding into hydro pole in NOTL

A 17-year-old boy has been airlifted to a hospital with unspecified injuries following a collision in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

A CHCH News freelancer said a vehicle speeding on Lakeshore Rd. this morning lost control and struck a hydro pole.

Emergency crews transported the teenager to the Niagara District Airport to be airlifted to a Hamilton trauma centre.

Niagara police have not confirmed if there were other occupants in the vehicle at this time.

Lakeshore Rd. is closed from Irvine Rd. to East West Line in Niagara-on-the-Lake for an investigation.

In the area of 546 Lakeshore Road in NOTL – motor vehicle collision with rollover and possible ejection.
Emergency services racing to the scene.
Air Ambulance has been requested.
