Teachers work-to-rule campaign is taking away extra-curricular activities

Starting Wednesday the elementary teachers in Ontario will no longer participate in voluntary extracurricular activities like sports teams and clubs, as part of their next phase of the work-to-rule campaign.
Sam Hammond, the president of the union representing 75,000 teachers say “our members do not undertake this escalation of strike action lightly, but they understand that reaching a fair and reasonable agreement will not happen unless OPSBA and the government are present at the bargaining table.”
