Teachers stage largest walkout yet

Half of all public elementary school teachers in Ontario are on strike today.
35,000 of them are demonstrating their opposition to Bill 115, the controversial legislation that gives the government the ability to force them back to work, and freezes their wages.
Teachers began walking off the job in one-day rotating strikes last week – but today’s is the largest.
Teachers in Toronto, Peel, Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk are among those picketing today.
