Tap and pay poppy donation boxes coming next week

The Royal Canadian Legion is adding a new way for Canadians to purchase their poppies.

They’ve partnered with HSBC to offer touchless tap-enabled donation boxes, alongside the traditional poppy boxes.

By tapping your card or tap and pay-enabled device, you can make a donation of $2 and take a poppy to wear.

“We are excited to present this new way to make it easier for Canadians to donate during the National Poppy Campaign,” says Thomas D. Irvine, Dominion President, The Royal Canadian Legion.

250 of these “Pay Tribute” donation boxes will be distributed across Canada starting Friday Oct. 30.
