Taking back the night

Hundreds of people came out for the 30th annual Take Back the Night gathering, at Hamiltoin city hall.

Organizers say the goal is two-fold: to celebrate the gains we’ve made in addressing violence against women; and to demand change.

They say women are still being raped and assaulted at alarming levels and say “enough is enough.”

The event was organized by the sexual assault centre.
