Taken 3, directed by Olivier Megaton (Taken 2, Colombiana), is the final instalment in the Taken series of action thrillers starring Liam Neeson stars as Bryan “particular set of skills” Mills. Famke Janssen and Maggie Grace reprise their roles as Mills’ wife and daughter, and Forest Whitaker joins the cast as Inspector Franck Dotzler, the man tasked with tracking down Mills.

Liam Neeson is back as retired special agent Bryan Mills. But his return to a quiet life is turned upside-down when he’s wrongfully accused of murdering his ex-wife in his Los Angeles apartment. On the lam and hunted by Detective Frank Dotzler (Forest Whitaker), Mills is forced to employ his “particular set of skills” one last time, so he can track down the real killer, prove his innocence and protect the only loved one he has left — his daughter.

Despite the title, nobody actually gets taken in this ultimate instalment, which was pleasing to director Olivier Megaton. “In “Taken 3” nobody gets taken. I was wowed by that. Then I read the script and had to admit there was indeed a new challenge there. That convinced me. There’s something totally new in this film. It has a new shape. It’s a rebirth — in terms of style, in term of directing. We’ve added new characters to the story. We threw ourselves wholeheartedly into this movie, to make something better, more surprising and totally different.”
