Suspicious package at Hamilton airport

Hamilton Police are investigating, after someone from UPS called to say they received a suspicious package at Hamilton International Airport around seven this morning.

The package ignited while being examined by Canada Border Service agents, causing a fire and lots of smoke. Staff were evacuated from the building.

The Halton police emergency disposal unit is now examining the package, to figure out what’s was in it.
