Suspected serial bank robber arrested

A suspected bank robber is now in custody after a car crashed into an unrelated police investigation in Binbrook last night.

Hamilton police were investigating a pedestrian fatality near Kirk Road and Regional Road 56, where a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The roads were blocked when a vehicle crashed through and hit another vehicle, injuring a man and woman inside. They’re expected to be okay.

The suspect took off after the crash but Hamilton police and the OPP tracked him down.

The province’s special investigation unit says the OPP notified Hamilton police of a robbery suspect driving towards the intersection.
