Suspected heroin seized at Pearson

Border officials at Pearson International Airport seized more than 10 Kilograms of suspected heroin stuffed inside a sport bag.

Officials say the suspected heroin arrived on a flight from Pakistan. The Canada Border Services Agency says officers spotted a suspicious package while checking shipments as they came off the plane. Inside the package they found four small packages wrapped and preliminary tests indicate they likely contain heroin.

This is the second big drug bust at the airport in the last few weeks after 18 kilograms of cocaine was discovered in a washroom on June 17th.
