Suspect Wanted in Dundas Assault

Hamilton police are looking for a suspect who allegedly assaulted a Dundas homeowner last night.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. at a home on Old Guelph Line. The male suspect knocked on the victim’s door to ask for directions and proceeded to strike him down with a weapon before fleeing on foot.

The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police believe he was not specifically targeted.

The suspect is described as male, white, 5’10, 150 pounds, with brown eyes, dark short hair and facial stubble. He was wearing dark clothing.

Residents are asked to contact police of any suspicious persons in the Old Guelph Road area, and to use exterior lighting at their homes.
