Supreme Court agrees to hear the case of Peter Khill

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case of a Binbrook man who killed a would-be car thief in 2016.
The top court granted the request from Peter Khill on Thursday.
Khill was acquitted of second-degree murder in the killing of Jon Styres on Feb. 4, 2016.
This February, the Ontario Court of Appeal ordered him to stand trial again, after finding that the judge made a mistake in his instructions to the jury.
That prompted Khill to head to the Supreme Court.
Khill has argued he was acting in self-defence.
Evidence showed that he fired twice at close range seconds after confronting Styres outside his home.
