Sudden death in October now deemed a homicide

Hamilton police say an investigation into a sudden death on October 27, 2021 has now been deemed a homicide.

Two people have been charged with second degree murder in the death of 47-year-old Jacob Ardagna. 

Ardagna was found unresponsive inside an apartment at 2130 King St E. Hamilton Paramedics conducted life saving measures but were unable to revive him and he was pronounced deceased.

An investigation found Ardagna had several injuries to his body and there were signs of a disturbance inside the apartment. The Major Crime Unit was called in to assist and confirmed Jacob died from an injury and the death deemed a homicide.

On Saturday, November 13, Hamilton Police arrested 27-year-old Ryan Cannon and 25-years-of-age Victoria Rolfe, both from Hamilton.
