Students rally outside Bernie Custis after a black youth mentorship program is put on hold

Dozens of students at Bernie Custis high school walked out of class and rallied on King street today after the school’s black youth mentorship program was put on pause.
The program, run in collaboration with the Hamilton Centre for Civic Inclusion, is being suspended because the school board says privacy concerns may have been breached after a study about racism was released last week.
