Students honour Violet Liang

Students at a Toronto high school are honouring a 14-year old who was hit and killed by a dump truck. They’re wearing wearing purple today.
Violet Liang would have turned 15-years old today. She was struck while walking to C.W Jefferys Collegiate for the first day of classes yesterday morning.
The Toronto District School Board says they’ve contacted Mayor Rob Ford to discuss the tragedy. The board wants city council to consider banning trucks from school zones during daytime hours.
