Strong, gusty winds expected to sweep through Southern Ontario

Special weather statements are in effect for much of Southern Ontario with powerful winds expected to sweep through the region.
Environment Canada says strong and gusty northwest winds will hit Halton Region, Hamilton, Niagara Region, Dunnville, Caledonia, Haldimand, Brant County and surrounding areas on Tuesday.
Winds with frequent gusts of 70 to 80 km/h will happen in the wake of a sharp arctic cold front that blasted across the region Monday night.
The winds are strong enough to cause isolated power outages.
The weather agency says they will slowly diminish in the evening.
