Strategic Tree Planting

A number of volunteers braved the elements today to plant some trees.

Wet and muddy conditions did not stop people of all ages in the community from coming together to support the environment.

Dozens of trees were planted along Eastport Drive in Hamilton.

According to Environment Hamilton the theme of the event was “strategic tree planting” meaning they are planting in an area down-wind of a number of sources of air pollution.

Trees not only improve our air quality but our health too as a result.
