Stoney Creek man clocked travelling 147km an hour in Waterdown

A Stoney Creek man has been charged for speeding through Dundas St. in Waterdown.

It happened near Berry Hill Ave. around 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

Hamilton Police say the driver was clocked travelling 147km/h in a 50km/h zone.

Police say their officer was able to safely pull over the vehicle, which had three occupants.

The driver has been charged with stunt driving, speeding and failing to surrender a licence.

He had his vehicle seized and licence suspended for a week.

A court appearance has been scheduled for Feb. 1.
