Stoney Creek man arrested in 2019 shooting in Burlington

Halton police have made an arrest in a shooting in Burlington in 2019.

Officers were called to a home on Maple Ave. around 7:20 a.m. on Aug. 10.

They say suspects rang the doorbell and fired shots at the victim, before driving off. The victim was not hit by any of the shots and was not injured.

On Wednesday, police executed a search warrant at a home in Stoney Creek. Evan Trites, 25, was arrested and charged with uttering threats, assault with a weapon and reckless discharge of a firearm.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
