A Stoney Creek elementary school rallies in support of a young classmate in the fight of his life

6-year-old Gabriel Ramirez, who was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia, was supposed to be back at school Friday but was too sick and is undergoing chemotherapy at McMaster Children’s hospital. To show how much they miss him, students at St. Franciz Xavier elementary school in Stoney Creek organized a fundraiser and rally in his support. Diana Weeks was there and has the heart-warming story.
