Stoney Creek connection to U.S. penny stock fraud

The U.S. Department of Justice has indicted nine suspects in what is being called one of the largest international penny stock frauds in history. One of the defendants is from Stoney Creek, and is accused in two schemes that netted more than $140 million, affecting investors in dozens of countries.
