A Brantford business owner arrived at his car wash this week only to find that it had been ransacked and his collection of Wayne Gretzky memorabilia had been stolen.
“I pulled up I seen the smashed glass and I looked through the window and knew right away everything was gone.” Says Mike Agriesti, owner of Mike’s Auto Spa.
Hoping someone might know who made off with his collection Mike shared his story on-line and when Walter Gretzky found about about it, he wanted to do something immediately.
“Do onto others as they would do on to you, we’re all neighbours and friends and family all of us.”
Mike estimates his collection was valued at about $4000 but says it’s not about the money, it’s about the sentimental value it held.
When Walter stopped by he didn’t come by empty handed, he brought Mike a photo, the same photo Mike had in his shop before he was robbed only this time it’s signed by Walter and Wayne.
