Halloween is also a chance for people to give back to those less fortunate in the community. At St. Thomas More on the Hamilton mountain, students were sorting through a mountain of food they’d collected. This is the fourteenth year this school has taken part in Halloween for Hunger, and this year students set a lofty goal of collecting more than 76-thousand pounds of food. The organizers say its so popular, students sign up in bunches.

There’s no word on how much food was collected by our deadline, but it looks like they’re well on their way to reaching their goal.
