Sting to perform first concert at Bataclan theatre since Paris attacks

Sting is set to perform the first concert at the Bataclan theatre in Paris since last year’s deadly terrorist attacks.

The concert is scheduled for November 12, the eve of the first anniversary of the attacks that killed 130 people.

Most of the victims were killed in a two-hour siege at the Bataclan after suicide attackers stormed an ‘Eagles of Death Metal’ concert.

The proceeds from the concert will benefit survivors and families of victims.

Sting says he wants the concert to honour their memories and celebrate “the life and music this historic theatre represents.”
