Steelheads beat Bulldogs

Mississauga Steelheads in the “hammer”, taking on the Bulldogs. Dogs were 5-1 winners last time these two teams met.

First period and the Dogs get on the board. Matthew Strome scores his 3rd of the year. Dogs led 1-0 after twenty minutes.

Second period was all Steelheads.  5:29 in, Luke Kutkevicius scores.

Then some three minutes later, on the powerplay, Nathan Bastian in and Michael McLeod scores. 2-1 Steelheads.

Still in the second, the backbreaker on a 3 on 2. Oakville’s Stefan Leblanc to Marcus Dickerson who scores to make it 3-1.

They would add an empty netter and make it 4-1.

The Bulldogs are at 9-16-1 and last place in the OHL’s East Division. They host Owen Sound on Wednesday.
